Premier Pleat Depth Polypropylene (PPDP)
- Constructed from melt-blown filter media to facilitate removal of particles from 1μm to 40μm
- Increased pleat pack depth provides higher dirt holding capacity
- Cartridges are formed around a polypropylene core, with the pleat pack protected by a polypropylene cage and thermally welded end caps ensuring no leaching of adhesives into the filtrate
- Individually lot coded, labelled and boxed for security and ease of product identification and traceability
- WRAS Approved Materials
- Pre-filtration to absolute membrane media downstream
- Breweries
- Spirits and liquors
- Swarf removal
Features & Information
Designed to combine the benefits of depth filtration and pleated cartridges – the SPECTRUM PPDP facilitates higher dirt holding capacity for a wider range of particulate than the standard pleated cartridge.
FAQs - PPDP
The PPDP was developed for the beverage industry with an increased service life and the ability to remove softer, gelatinous contaminants.
The PPDP utilises a thicker pleated layer to add characteristics of depth filtration. The thicker media allows for a somewhat graded contamination removal, capturing some larger particles on the outside of the media whilst smaller particles are retained deeper inside the cartridge media.
A pleated filter is a type of liquid filtration cartridge designed with pleats or folds on the filter media to increase the surface area for better filtration efficiency compared to spuns and wounds.
Pleated filters are used to remove suspended particulate. They are usually used to control finer particulate as a final stage of filtration where a specific contaminant is targeted for removal.
